Caring for Fine Jewellery
Simple habits that keep gold glowing and diamonds bright for decades.

Fine jewellery is made to be worn, and with a little care it will stay beautiful for generations. Most of what keeps a piece looking its best comes down to a few everyday habits.
Last on, first off
Put jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray have settled, and take it off before swimming, bathing, exercising or cleaning. Chlorine and household chemicals can dull metal and loosen settings over time.
Store pieces separately
Diamonds can scratch gold and other gemstones. Keep each piece in its own pouch or a lined compartment, and fasten chains before storing them to prevent tangles.
Gentle cleaning
Soak gold and diamond pieces briefly in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, then brush softly with a baby toothbrush and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Pearls should only be wiped with a soft, damp cloth.
For deeper cleaning or a check of claws and clasps, we recommend a professional inspection once a year.
